Passion for design of travel experiences

About Me

Unlike many travel bloggers, I do not travel for a living, so I am hoping I can bring a unique perspective of someone who is just like you and works travel into their life.

Trip Design

I thrive and strive to find that just right, most unique, best, most desirable town, resort, castle, restaurant, square- you name it.  I make countless lists and charts, read websites and travel books, compare prices, read reviews, make phone calls, etc.  And the result is (I am happy to say-thankfully!)that I do find “the best” and sometimes “the best” on paper, is not actually what I thought it was and that makes for a good (often funny story).

My Upcoming Trips for 2023

As someone who loves travel on an average year, I think 2023 will outshine even my most ambitious travel plans so far!  I have my big important (Big _0) birthday coming up and I can’t help it if everyone wants to travel with me!

Top 10 Experiences

1. Sleeping in a Castle

There’s something magical-at least for me about staying in a castle.  I think I stumbled on my first one while researching my trip to Spain quite a few years ago.  Stay in a castle? The second I realized that it was an option I knew I had to do it!

2. Wine Routes Around the World

Every good designer needs a focal point prior to starting  the design plan-mine usually tends to be either white wine or beach!  (Hmm, if I could only combine the 2).  I mean you can hardly go to every little town in every country or every part of every country you visit!  So, here are a few trips I’ve dragged my family on using wine routes as my muse.

3. Unique Stays

Finding a cool and unique accommodation always fills me with little thrill (actually a big thrill!)  Here are some of my faves, hope you get to enjoy!
